CSOP: Leading the world's China Investment

Hong Kong based CSOP was founded in 2008 as the first offshore asset manager set up by a regulated asset management company in China. Holding licenses type 1, type 4 and type 9 issued by Securities & Futures Commission of Hong Kong, CSOP manages private and public funds, as well as providing investment advisory services to Asian and global investors with a dedicated focus on China investing. It is the largest Renminbi Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor (RQFII) asset manager globally. As of 31 December 2016, CSOP had US$ 4 billion in assets under management.

  • CSOP WTI Oil ETF was listed on HKEX, as one of the earliest and leading ETF products investing in the commodity futures 
  • CSOP issued its first pair of leveraged & inverse products, standing among  the earliest leveraged & product issuers in Hong Kong   
  • As the first RQFII ETF onboard the US market, CSOP A50 ETF (stock code: AFTY) was listed on NYSE
  • CSOP Source FTSE China A50 ETF was listed on the London Stock Exchange as the first Europe RQFII ETF 
  • CSOP China 5-Year Treasury Bond ETF was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange as the first RQFII Bond ETF globally
  • CSOP FTSE China A50 ETF was listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange as ETF-JDR
  • CSOP FTSE China A50 ETF was listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited in August. This is CSOP’s 2nd RQFII fund product.

  • Launched CSOP Shen Zhou RMB Fund in Hong Kong in February. This is CSOP’s 1st RQFII fund product, as well as our 1st public fund product.

  • Two UCITs IV compliant private placement funds, focusing on RMB high yield and Greater China equities respectively, were registered and launched in Luxembourg.

  • Launched our 1st Greater China-focused hedge fund to investors.

  • Founded in Hong Kong as an asset management joint venture between China Southern Asset Management Co., Ltd. and OP Financial Investments Limited.
